We’re Brinlee and Keagan Bontekoning, the sister-brother duo behind AfriRide Xscapes. While Keagan tears up the trails as a pro cyclist, Brinlee brings the vision, creativity, and logistics to life. Together, we’ve created a cycling camp that blends professional training with a touch of luxury, a lot of laughs, and a deep love for South Africa’s riding scene.
What started as a wild idea between siblings quickly turned into a purpose-driven mission:
To help riders prep for multi-day stage races like the Cape Epic
To showcase the talent of South Africa’s pro cyclists — not just on the bike, but as mentors and teachers
And to create an unforgettable experience that’s as much about community and connection as it is about watts and recovery.

We saw a gap: world-class cyclists with incredible knowledge, and everyday riders hungry to learn… but no space that truly brought them together. So we created it.
